Orb - Stream music, videos and more!

Orb recently launched an application available for all jailbroken iPhone’s. You simply download the application through installer and then just sign in to start using it.

First what is Orb? Orb is a streaming program that allows you to listen to your music, watch your videos and more. You just need to download the Orb program and have it running in the background. You then are able to sign in on any computer or now iPhone and control your items.

We had the chance to try out the new application. It works pretty good but there is one flaw. When we tried to access the webcam portion, there was some issues. It worked the first time, but then the program locked up and brought us to the lock screen on the phone. Which it then would not less get out of. No matter how many times we unlocked the phone it kept going back to the lock screen. We had to then restore our phone. This happened 3 times, so was not just a fluke.

We were able to get the music to work well and we are not fully sure yet if this issue only happens when you access the webcam section. We will do some more test and then even have a video.

Now this is already offered by Flickr and there are a few applications that automatically upload any photo you take from your iPhone to your Flickr account. It all depends upon which service you think will better fit you.

ZodTTD iPhone & iTouch Video Streaming

ZodTTD just released another great tool for iPhone and iTouch owners, ZodTTD Video. You can now watch videos on your iPhone or iTouch. It is very simple, when you go to the url and then click a video it will then popup with the video as a quicktime file. The video will load and then play.

The quality is not that bad and the video selection is limited. But this was just released this month and would assume they will have many updates to come. For now this seems to be the only other way to watch videos online besides through YouTube.

Taken With An iPhone

Takenwithaniphone is a website all about photos, well taken with an iPhone. It is a cool idea, nothing overly special considering the camera on the iPhone isn’t anything to special. But the website does offer a gallery and other things.
