The new Google App is available in the App store. The new update included a new look, easy access to apps and best of all voice search.
Having used the app, i noticed it is fairly easy to use and pretty quick to use. Time will tell if this becomes a really handy feature or not.
Apple recently has switched gears with their iPhone ads. Every ad recently has featured an App from the App Store.
For instance the most recent commercial features the Shazam App. Which allows you to determine what song is currently playing on the radio or wherever you are.
This is a great move by Apple, they have already made the iPhone a wanted item. Now they need to show off what it can do and why those who didn’t want it, will want it. They are doing great in choosing apps that will appeal to a wide audience and showing how quickly(sometimes not real time) and easy it is to get apps using an iPhone.
For all of the ads visit the Apple ad section.
The stock market has been going up and down, showing no signs of stability. Numerous companies are posting huge losses and say the future isn’t good. Apple had their quarterly announcement today and we have to say things look pretty good.
Just the Numbers
6.9 Million - The number of iPhone’s sold.
6.1 Million - The number of phone’s sold by RIM.
2.6 Million - The number of Macs sold.
11 Million - The number of iPod’s sold.
200 Million - The number of Apps downloaded.
25 Billion - The amount of cash Apple has in the bank.
So let’s see, Apple beats out RIM within 14 months, sells a good amount of computers and even a good amount of iPod’s during a non-holiday quarter. Not to mention the Applications are being used like crazy. Apple is uncertain about the future, but even if it is a little bit rocky, they will still survive.
Apple recalls millions of iPhone 3G power adapters
Apple has recently stated that their power adapters have a tendency to break. Which in turn causes the possibility of electrocution.
Who is at risk? Anyone who purchased an iPhone 3G in North America, which is a couple million.
What can you do? Apple has set up an exchange program. You can either go through the web and order an exchange or visit your local Apple retailer on October 10th and you can receive a new one for free.
The new adapters will have a green dot, to designate they are new.

The new iPhone and iTouch firmware 2.0.1 has been released. Just plug your iphone or touch in and launch iTunes and you will be prompted to download the new firmware.
So far the firmware fixes some bugs and is suppose to make things run smoother. No major changes though, like copy and paste or anything.
Also, anyone who has a PWNed iPhone, do not upgrade because the PWN software will not work with the new firmware. Not yet atleast.
AT&T is smart, well to an extent. They at least know one thing, that the iPhone sells. Due to this knowledge they have been able to strike a deal with Apple. The AT&T and Apple exclusivity deal has been extended to 2010.
What does this mean? That AT&T really wants to keep the iPhone and now everyone else has to wait longer. Maybe 2011 for T-Mobile? That is if AT&T doesn’t make another deal.
